APAI PhD scholarship - Global Change Ecology of Forest Ecosystems

A PhD Scholarship (APAI) is immediately available within the Department of Forest and Ecosystem Science of the University of Melbourne , Creswick as part of a recently awarded ARC Linkage grant. The project will focus on greenhouse gas emissions of forest ecosystems in Australia using state of the art technology and a mobile laboratory. The research aims to measure the magnitude of greenhouse gas fluxes in forest ecosystems and understand the processes that lead to these emissions. Research will be carried out in forest ecosystems in Victoria and Western Australia and in savanna ecosystems of the Northern Territories . The post-graduate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will also have the opportunity for overseas research experience. All project expenses will be covered.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Australian citizen or permanent resident, or NZ citizen.
- Appropriate Honours 1 or high 2A (or equivalent) undergraduate degree
