Research Priorities and Coordination Committee (RPCC)
The Research Priorities and Coordination Committee (RPCC) advises state and federal government agencies via the Forest and Forest Products Committee (FFPC) on research‑related issues, research needs and technology transfer relevant to maximising forest productivity and managing a range of forest values within the context of sustainable forest management. The RPCC provides coordination of forest research conducted by State and Commonwealth Governments and has strong links with Research and Development Corporations, industry, universities and Cooperative Research Centres. The RPCC is also responsible for overseeing the involvement of the FFPC in the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO).
Prof Rod Keenan, DFES, is the current Chair of RPCC and Dr Tina Bell is the current Secretary.
After wide consultation, the RPCC has recently developed a set of recommendations for strategic directions in forest research.
